ATK-YTP returns again next year!

Jyväskylä thanks all participants. See you next year in Tampere!

ATK-YTP, literally translated to “Automatic information processing - co-operation days”, is a two day event that gathers IT-students from 7 university cities together. This year the event is organized in Jyväskylä by Linkki, Dumppi and Ynnä. The event is held mostly in Finnish but participating in English is encouraged!

Both main days start with seminars where companies give presentations (mostly in Finnish) at the Agora-building. The seminars will also be streamed to another lecture hall, MaA103, due to surprisingly high number of participants. After the seminars participants get to experience Jyväskylä by going around the city to checkpoints where local students and companies have prepared fun group tasks to complete. Teams will get points on how well the task is completed. After completing the checkpoints participants can catch their breath in a preparty right in the middle of Jyväskylä. The winners of the checkpoint-competition are announced at the preparties. The days end in afterparties, almost right next to, and right next to the preparty venue!

P.S. TiTOL will also be holding a meeting to determine the board for the year 2025!

💤 Accommodation

Participants are accommodated in Jyväskylä Christian School (Butterisland's Street 18) and Jyväskylä Normal School (Yliopistonkatu 1). Student association specific accommodation shall be specified at a later date. It is possible to wash up in the accommodation, and on Thursday morning the quickest of you have the opportunity to go to a unique sauna. Swimsuit is mandatory in the sauna.

🍴 Food and drinks

You gotta eat so you can drink. Close to the accommodation are student canteens Taide, Lozzi and Ilokivi. During the lectures in Mattilanniemi there's also Piato and Maija.

There's also a number of restaurants in the Jyväskylä Center, out of which we can recommend Teerenpeli and their delicious Sulami sandwiches!

🚶 Getting around

In general everthing is just a walk away, but if you feel having wheels to go around with is your thing, there's plenty of options. There's buses, taxi and e-scooters lying around. Bus transit is Linkki's (not associated with us) responsibility. You can find the route map on their page.

👾 City crawl

No ATK-YTP is complete without a city crawl!

During the city crawl you'll get to know the city better (and curse its elevation differences) while doing tasks on exciting checkpoints hosted by different companies, student associations and other related groups!

🥤 Preparty

On both Wednesday and Thursday theres a preparty in Aalto-sali, right in the middle of the city! There's no need for buses! The preparty is BYO-everything.

Food and "other necessities" can be purchased from the stores nearbly, e.g. S-Market Kolmikulma is open until 23.00.

✨ Afterparty

On Wednesday, the afterparty venue is Club Escape, which is just across the street from Aalto-sali, where we'll hear rhymes from the embodiments of Jyväskylä rap, Axel Kala & Pyrythekid!

On Thursday, the afterparty will be held in London, which despite the name is just a little bit further from Club Escape.
